ST205 injector plug color

Postby RedMist » Sat Mar 03, 2007 6:41 pm

Two cars, two looms and I manage to get both unhooked at the same time without noticing the injector plugs are color coded. I presume the gen 3 is either batch or sequential fire... so the question is... which color to which injecttors?

The alternate between Brown and Grey. According to my matching of the Japanese characters on the wiring diagrams, it's the same as the Caldina which is #1 & #3 Brown, #2 & #4 Grey. Easy to tell for sure though, just get a multimeter and check which one is connected to #1 on the ECU (http://www.users.on.net/~fivebob/Pages/3S-GTE-ECU-Pinouts.htm)

On my Gen 2 engine that's in the car, it's Brown Grey Brown Grey from #1, unforunately I've already unplugged the little bit of loom left on my Gen 3 and from that loom it looks like Grey brown brown grey.

Oh wells.

Both my looms appear to be grey brown grey brown... I did attempt to trace the wiring, however pin1 didnt trace through to either the red or brown batch. I've plugged it up brown grey brown grey. At worst I'm 360 degrees out.

That's because pin-1 on the ECU connector is an earth, pin-2 is the injector, #1 refers to the pin for #1 injector
