gtz dying **fixed**

hi, my engine check light keeps cumming on, and when it dose the car stops boosting. once the light is on, if i turn the car off then back on again the light goes away and the car boosts again. but then shortly after doing that the check light will come on again and my axcelaration disapers.
if i dont boost 2 start with the check light will stay off. ive had a breif look over the engine and as far as i can tell everything is as it should be.
the problem 1st occured one night after giving the car a bit of shit (nothing over redline)

has any 1 had this problem b4, or have any ideas of what could b causing this.

Check the fault codes first off

Its probably a minor electric fault, perhaps a knock sensor or something

My bet is on teh knock sensor

either not pluged in or faulty wiring

yea knock sensor,

altho mine was unplugged for ages and ages(4 months) and it went nuts

sweet, ill inspect it 2day, cheers, nxt question - any 1 have an ae101 knock sensor i could buy? (must b of an ae101(there better than ae92 1's))

Knock sensors are hard to find 2nd hand, your best to buy one new from Revhead for around $100

They are not better...They are just the only ones that work...

Knock sensors can not be changed around in most cases.

in my experience they r better, i have 3 4agze's, 2 of them are from ae92's and 1 ae101. they ae92 1's (knock sensor) look 2 be partly made of a shitter material than the ae101 1. i broke both ae92 1's and am using the ae101 at the mo.

the problem i is fixed now, the sensor wasnt wound completly in. took a few turns and its fine now. thanks for the help guys.
