by pass is a little valve that pass air past the throttle when the ECU tells it to to give an increase in revs because the motor is under load so when its cold it will increase the revs to help keep it running like wise when its idleing & you turn the air con on or use the power sterring the motor needs to rev more to stop it stalling dew to its under load
was the air con idle up removed when the air con was?
when you say the throttle cable is tight how tight is it?
an injected motor should have a we bit of slack on the cable if your foot is off the accleator so that the TPS can sit hard back by the spring so the ECU knows its idleing & not being reved
