Hi,

Adam, if you are not competing, a help to set up, wave flags and pace car would be much appreciated! We are running the transponders and need a few more hands to make sure things run smoothly.

I am clerk of the course for the day.

Cheers

Logan - Nate is still keen to do pacecar if you'd like him too, (hes still down as your ACoC along with me) Let him know soonish anyway.

Just to clarify, Transponder will be backed up with stopwatch as per normal. This means if you really don't want to use one, you'll still get a result (just not an official lap time) and if the signal is weak and doesn't register on the system (a lot of this has to do with placement on the vehicle - so follow the instructions) we will have timekeepers using stopwatches as well.

Anyone who has the day free and is a bit computer literate or even doesn't mind running around checking cars if transponders need adjustment, let Logan or me know - I'd appreciate any help. :) Its a two person system to run, and an assistant that I could give a crash course to in 10 minutes would be appreciated :P

To be honest - running Transponders at any event triples the amount of preperation of the Officials, Hence why 3 of us (Logan - Clerk of Course, Nate and me (Assisting) are running it. We'll also need twice as many timekeepers, and you won't be turned away if you approach Logan and ask if you can give him a hand. We'll make a good effort to get helpers a ride around the track for helping out, plus you get a free drink at the bar at the end.

Basically the main goal is to get times for the Full Circuit without dipper, although I plan to get results for as many courses as possible - however there is no increase in entry fee to have the system running, and Dennis Chapman is lending us use of the equipment because hes a Canterbury member - a NZ race meeting would be looking at close to over $1000 for use of this stuff - cos that'd be $25 each on top of your entry fee, so its a benefit for the entrants (and just more stress for me)

And please.. remember to hand back your transponder before you leave!!

:)
If I say I don't need anyone
I can say these things to you
'Cause I can turn on any one
Just like I turned on you
I've got a tongue like a razor
A sweet switchblade knife
And I can do you favors
But then you'll do whatever I like

Good to see you'll have the trueno running at this event.
Turboing you car pushed me into finally fitting a water to air intercooler to the MR2, to make better use of the power I currently have. Haven't been able to test it under race conditions yet, but I hope it makes a noticeable difference. If it does, I may be talking to you about a larger pulley
