Trackday - Ruapuna 14 May 2007

Postby Chelles » Mon Feb 19, 2007 9:56 am

Hi guys :)
I will be hosting a Track day for ClubSUB at Powerbuilt Tools International Raceway (Ruapuna). Anyone is welcome to come and join the day.

Date: Monday 14 May 2007
Cost: Financial ClubSUB Members $45.00 Non- financial Members $80

You are now able to register your entry at www.photoworks.co.nz/trackday please be as honest as you can about your car and its modifications this will help with grouping on the day.

Safety: Helmets and cotton overalls a must. All cars must have current WOF and Rego unless you have a MSNZ certified race car. There will be basic safety checks on the day however maintenance is up to you as the owner. I’d like to suggest that if you haven’t done so in a while to change your brake fluid and check your brake pads for plenty of life as this track WILL test your braking system.

Drivers: You may run dual drivers at this event and you must have at least a restricted driver’s license to enter.

Rain? If it’s raining the day will go ahead. It will be a great experience for you all to learn better car control in the wet.

I also require some trusty helpers on the day, if you or someone you know would be keen to help with flag and safety duties please let me know. If I can’t get enough volunteers I may put drivers on a roster system of around an hour at time to do these duties to allow the day to run smoothly.

If you have any questions feel free to ask away.

The last event of my race series is last weekend in April at Teretonga,

so as long as I dont have a repeat of my luck there last time,
I will be keen as to do this event.

Is there a cut-off date for entries?

Matt

Yup... well other than your running costs. But the $80 is all up for the entry fee

matt dunn: The way the entries are going I'll be cutting of at 45 cars or if I don't reach that then by the end of April.

Are passengers allowed if properly clothed?

I have a feeling you'll say yes, only if the car has a MSNZ cage?

How bout without a cage?

As far as I'm aware we can have passengers in non-caged cars as long as they are "properly clothed". :)

At least 1/2 the road going cars without cages were carrying passengers. I even passed one WRX carrying 2 passengers. 8O However the carrying of passengers at this event is at the sole discretion of the organiser(s).
