My Trueno is coming up for sale (ae86 clone)

Postby AE85coupe » Fri Mar 16, 2007 10:38 am

hey guys, many of you know my AE85 trueno, i've owned it for nearly 4 years and have built it up from a crappy automatic 3a to what it is now

i've finally decided its about time i move on, so she will be up for sale very soon

I'm just waiting on the engine reconditioner to finish off the engine and she will be up for sale

before i do sell it, i was wondering what people thought it was actually worth? i'm not expecting a crazy price, but i want to get an idea so i know what price to put on it very soon

if you want to see what it has, have a look in my profile

and if you don't know the car, the best way to describe it is 'mint' the paint is immaculate along with the interior, its one of the better ae85/6's getting around.

cheers

Richard

oh and here is a wee picture of it:

It has different wheels than the ones in the picture now though

It may as well be an ae86 for all the work thats gone into it, could still be upgraded even further which is good if you like doing stuff. I like richies car cos its set up more like a sports car rather than a race/drift car.

I'd love to buy it but I cant afford to pay what its worth and I wont rip richie off.

looks like an excellent car - its just the chassis tag that hurts the value. Anyone got some tags and a welder? then its what? 11-13k all day long?

IMO For a mint ae85 that drives truly beautifuly, its probably $6500-$7500 on tard me

Oh the 4age still has the 3A-U sticker on it

Brezzed through the WOF after the conversion, with the only question being "whats with the shiny fuel lines" "oh the old ones rusted through"

sounds like a fair price fatty building a car of this quality would probabaly owe you about that much.

imo you could get more than 7k, looking at the mods it seems a reasonable price to pay

ya gotta wonder what your money buys you tho, the prices on these rwd 4age things are quite crazy . 8-10k buys a lot of car now.

not that im a hater, i quite like them, and there are some very nice examples around. i guess its the same as people who spend 15-20k on an old rotary with shiny paint and a backyard engine just coz its goes brap brap brap.
