I'm guessing that's an oil pump used to return the turbo oil to the sump?

Or, do they use a separate oil supply for the turbos and the pump is used to scavenge the oil and feed it back up through the turbo via an oil cooler perhaps???

Pretty cool looking setup though either way.

in a lot of states you cant touch the cat. that means you cant move it or anything.
so in some applications they have to mount turbos after the cats for space and heat (cats need to be in a certain heat range to work). so some times the only option is where you see them above
thats also why centrifugal superchargers were/are popular for mustangs

cats and turbos goe togeather really well...make them far more efficant
its purly space
theres no room fro a turbo in teh enginebay
they make a 1uz soara look like a beach resort

This setup has been around for years and years... nothing new. Here are the benefits the STS guys publish.
