check the FAQ: viewtopic.php?t=45506

http://www.landtransport.govt.nz/vehicl ... right.html

It is illegal to apply any kind of tint film, tint paint or opaque sticker to any lamp which has a function other than decoration (eg non-cosmetic).

If you can tint them, and keep the colour and brightness of the light the same, its fine...

Yeh i did, what i was trying to say is, if you can tint the shade, and somehow keep the colour of the actual beam of light the same and the brightness the same (Which is impossible afaik) you can. So in fact, no. Lol

Err, no its not.

READ moron.

It is illegal to apply any kind of tint film, tint paint or opaque sticker

Where does it say that its ok if it doesn't affect the light.

Show me where in the WOF book it states that if you don't use it at night you don't need lights.

You drive around in the day with a smashed headlight, you deserve a ticket from the police (if you havn't made a good effort to get it fixed).Same thing applies, rules are rules, not part time.
