0.26 amps of current draw when the car is off

Postby The_Lorax » Sun Mar 25, 2007 12:02 pm

Hi guys,

Now that i've got my alternator working, I've got a new electrical problem.

Something is drawing 0.26 amps from the battery in my AW11 when the car is turned off and locked up.

I've tried pulling all the fuses one by one in the fuse boxes I could find:

- Engine bay
- Front Trunk
- Drivers kick panel

and I couldn't get the current draw to drop. Are there any more fuses in the car, or are there certain unfused parts of the car?

There were a couple of fuses above the drivers kick panel (towards the hood release) that I couldn't get out. Are those factory?

1/4 of an amp is usually the norm on most cars,

clock memory, stereo memory, ecu memory, etc etc.

remove the stop light fuse and the inside light one together.

Cheers for that Matt,

The battery has been completely discharged and recharged a few times, it's possible that i've stuffed it by doing this. Might take it to a battery place this weekend.

Get them to chuck it on a capacity tester. I ran my battery flat a few too many times and it ended up cooking a cell
