Dont worry. I've just entered. I sure hope I can get the car done in time. Or I have just wasted $80.

Still To do:
Find 14.5mm drill bit so can tap thread in end of panhard rod for rod end.
make that extra brace to triangulate the panhard mounting bracket.
Remove fuel tank again
Re-do the stuck fuel hoses I had to cut to get the tank out.
Refit fuel tank
Drill hole/s in panhard bracket for panhard rod.
Make mounts for bucket seat
get steel for said seat mounts
paint? all new metal brackets etc
Wheel alignment for all new rear end geometry
replace damaged brake pipe(nicked it with the grinder)
Bleed brakes
top up oil lost from diff(it was upside down all night made a big mess)
Shorten rear shocks 50mm(if car is jacked up the rear springs will fall out)
Do other stuff I cant think of right now.

All on a budget of almost nothing
Damn. Thats alot. I might not make it. Good thing I have easter weekend still to go.

As you say, 'bugger'.. would have been real good to have my car ready by this time so I could get some practise in, with the new suspension and engine. Probably another month or so...damn hold ups

Right ... car pooling for people doing timing and stuffs.

I will have to be there probably half eight or so for more scrutineering, so anyone travelling with me will have to get up really early.

We've got Geoff, Pete, Warwick, Aaron, and myself all heading up and back on the day. Pete's over in the Upper Hutt somewhere... he could maybe car pool with Geoff (HVMC) since he's in Lower Hutt.

I'm Johnsonville, Warwick is Tawa, and Aaron is Whitby. So that'd make a pretty easy car pool, maybe all meet at Warwicks, and I can borrow the EE90 so as to have a car with four doors. Since neither MX5 nor a Starlet would be terribly comfy. Warwick has no car, and Aaron has access to only a three door also. Who have I missed?

I am assuming BzzzzR and brother will travel together?

Rev....you could attempt making another ute  :P

Leon - I'll be heading up & back that day too, dont know which vehicle I am taking at this stage, could be the KE, could be a Celica, could be the Boat. I am thinking at this stage that I'll just play follow the leader with you & if need be become an extra set of hands for what ever around scrutineering time if you need it.

No worries Blair. If I borrow the EE then it will fit me, Aaron, and Goatfan will fit in that easily along with gear.

You planning to stick around the day up there? Looking like it might be a very Toyspeed timing crew at this rate.

Oh, I am assuming B1 and Stace are heading up earlier, as they have family up in that part of the country.

Touch base with Geoff, as he's heading up there with a camera that day, and you're both in The Valley.

That would be the flux I forgot to pick up when I acquired dads oxy actylene welder?
Blinker fluid.....runs on same system as engine coolant. Its already on the same top up todo list as diff, gearbox, eng oil and eng water.

5 link nearly done. Still need to weld on lower shock mounts tomorrow.
and make seat bracket thing....need metal.
Damn work.

It's precisely 95 db, which is roughly pretty loud, but not very loud. Well, sort of medium loudish, but not like "oh my god" level loud.

Glad to have cleared that up ;)

Bump stops ... shouldn't think so. Don't recall it saying anything about them in Schedule A safety.
