Oohhh does it have to be a car motor? Can you not use a Kawasaki ZX-12R motor or something? That'd be mint :D

Rotaries aren't motors anyway...
They are merely headaches sent from Hell to taunt the human race.

yeah "2age" has been done with some sucsess before

good thing itll be on methanol, the 4ages ports would typically be a little large for a 1300!

possibly another choice could be an echo engine
but i think the 2age would be cheaper.

Well then you can't use the 4A head can you?
Unless there was a SOHC version of 4A release that I am not aware of...

I'm not to sure how much it'd weight but if you want a bullet proof engine that'll rev its tits off, get a 2A corolla engine and put a 4A 8valve head on it.

Its simply just a 2V per cylinder version of the 2A"GE" engines guys built for 1300 class starlet rally cars.

thats from the macgors website

does it have to be sohc? or 2 valves per cylinder, cos a honda motor like mine is a sohc 16v, its 1301 cc i think and goes pretty good for what it is, if your allowed to run electronics it may be possible with a bit of mucking around to chuck a d15b sohc vtec head on it, but like warrick said with the 4a/2a conversion the ports may be too big.

I rate the d13b though, i think its supposed to be around 70 KW at the fly in factory form, and it has room for improvment eg higher compression, dual carbs ( this is what im looking into)

AE82 corolla's had 4A carbed 8V engines. If you want a head we have one at work. so all you need now is a 2A engine

Notice something about who said about the 2AGE's on that forum? Twas I.
