an 'event' is being planned for this date. some of it would be suitable for normal road cars. other parts, not so suitable due to either ride height, engine pointing the wrong way.

it will be a multi-part-entry event, as i can't expect those to pay for a part of which they realistically cannot enter.
it is expected that it will be the final round of something that is only gonna get bigger next season, as well as possibly the first round of a bravenewmovethatifitbackfiresmyheadwillbemorethanlikelyservedonaplate

cannot confirm details,as it is so secret even my committee don't know yet!!

will advise possible schedule on late wednesday/early thursday, subject to me getting out of our committee meeting alive!!!

right-o. after much consultation, a fair bit of swearing at a naughty computer, i can tell you this much.

9th June be at Levels Raceway, it will be off the hook!!
we are pleased to announce that we are holding the final round of the 1st season of Drift South (the SI's own drifting series) on the top section of Levels, at the same time, local club competitors will be keeping the street cars honest in the first event of the Street Car Challenge series (see other post) with 2 sealed autocross tests and ,weather permitting, 1 grass autocross test at the southern end of the track.

there will be a spectator fee of $5 p/person.

final details are on hold until MSNZ have confirmed or denied an exemption from the newly passed Sch. DR regulations. both round 5 and 6 had applied for permits prior to the rule coming in to force and we are hoping for a favourable outcome.

Cool, i'll try make it to this (to spectate) as well as that Aussie car day one and i know of one other SSE'er and his wife who could be keen too.

Any word on the drifting etc? If it is going ahead i'll put up a post at SSE about it to see how many others are keen to go watch. And it'll be on rain or shine correct?
