Or can you reccommend one? I'm not wanting to spend mega bucks and its only to power my front speakers so doesn't have to be hugely powerful.

My speakers are Rainbow SLX210's

If you can afford rainbows you should be able to spend good money on an amp

Anyway, I have a Fusion FP402 (powerplant) and that goes reasonably well, it can make my Jaycar components rattle most of my car

FP 1404 are great amps, one on trade me at the moment but its well overpriced.

I have a kenwood that i found in a import from japan, no idea of specs and conditon, so i would let it go for 25 plus postage.

looks about the same size as a sony 222 so would be about right for powering fronts

Don`t underestimate how much power you will need for your front stage.

According to the manual they are capable of handleing 80watts RMS so look for something around that output.

Having the full amount of power available affords better headroom for the
punchy mids to come through tight and clean.

If you use a cheaper less powerfull amp you will loose the definition and depth these quality speakers offer.

Don`t be fooled, the front setup is one of the most important parts of your
total sound setup.

There are lots of amps around second hand but get something with quality and power as guidelines.

They have helped me out in the past with my requirments.
