a lot of you seem to be forgetting he is on a uni student budget
which will negate modifications!

keep the honda, unless you can survive with having the celica off the road for maintanence, unless its a minta

really you have to look at it and decide if it will be reliable enough for you.

and boso translates as "bad taste" :P

Yea, stick to the Honda while you're a student, you'll be able to get something nice when you're finished studying and get a job or be able to afford to do a Celica properly.

The only way to do a Celica properly is to start with the right chassis :P

^^^ Amen.

Celica Supra's are cool though 8) But probably not a wise choice in your current situation, the Integra will be more fun as it sits too.

$&#$% you!

Well... it is!

Think about what 'rice' is....

People trying to emulate the look of race car versions of their own cars.

Fart cannon exhaust, big T wings, millions of gauges, etc... Which are all inspired by 'race cars' of that era (that era being the 90s), as these were things that the japanese race cars generally had.
(However obviously many people dont realise that correlation =! causation... A cake has icing on it and tastes good, but this does not mean that putting icing on shit will make it taste good)

Boso is exactly the same, it's people adding things to their cars to emulate race cars of the time. Just a bit more exaggerated.
External oil coolers on the front, tape over the headlights, sacked out on wide wheels, are all things that race cars of the time featured.
I cant quite explain the crazy exhausts though, haha. I suppose it's just what they did before 8" wide fart cannons were available.

I dont know if you've ever seen the actual wide body race cars of that era, but they are definitely what inspired the 'boso' look.
The widebody DR30 looks wicked. :D

I dont think that 'boso' is anything particularly new, it most likely started in the 80s, and then has become popular again in recent years.
I wonder if it will be trendy to rice up civics in another 20 years.

Hmm.... After much thought I have found you the perfect solution.

Don't buy the Celica, and sell the Honda.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Honda will be a better performer, cheaper on gas, last longer, and be less rustier. Dnt bother with old celicas, they never got them rite untill the VVTLi versions :P

haha i totally agree....
i was thinking of getting a levin before i got the honda, but the integra is a hatch and thus so much more practical, i can fit so much in there.

but every time i look a XX one i want it, so for now, this will have to suffice :P
