Anyone avaliable to do a cashy??

Postby oem-r » Tue Apr 17, 2007 3:48 pm

Right so my rear engine mount in my itr is screwed, the bolt must have come loose and over abit of time threaded and eventually fell out, tried replacing the bolt but its screwed. So i was wondering if anyone is keen to rethread it or helicoil it for me and put a new bolt in??

Payment in cash beer or whatever, just want it fixed asap!

the part where it screws on is a bit like a nut welded to a plate eh? get your drill and drill out the old thread so its big enough for a new bolt to slide through without any slop, and use a longer bolt and a regular nut.

could be an idea to use a lock nut or a split washer on the nut side as well.

Do what postfach said and use a longer bolt and a nut.

The thing is i cant use a nut, its tne bolt that holds the engine mount onto the block, and the thread for the bolt there is threaded, cant drill out, and scre longer screw and nut in :x
