Queens Birthday Trackday - 4th June

Postby Chelles » Wed Apr 18, 2007 6:50 pm

Hi people

Was wondering if people are keen to make a weekend of the track day event weekend as we have in the past?

If so express your genuine interest here.
Also any other questions relating to the track day.

Thanks Chelles

I give kudo's to Chelles and her team I have attended a few of these days over the years and they are well organised with plenty of track time and are ideal for beginners and drivers of all levels..

I'll be taking 40 entries for this day, four groups of 10. (up to 22 already)
I'll take entries up until the 1st of June or until the day is full.

2jayzgte: Thank you very much for that. I like to think that I give people all the time they and their cars can handle. :D

On the day you all should get 10-12 mins sessons with around 7 hours to play for the day. Plenty of time indeed!!

Yeah - I'm there with bells on (and hopefully my racecar). Book me for the track and I will see what work says about the whole weekend off.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

No idea what the 'order of things' might be as it's just an idea at the moment. Last year didn't happened so thougth I would put the idea out there before anyone puts any effort into it.

In the past we have arrived on the Saturday, done a few tourist things in and around Taupo, headed up to Rotarua, Sunday was the 'cruise day' where we went off to places like Napier or up to the Mountain etc...
so yeah ... something like that I guess.

If you turn right coming out of the track and head straight down the road there's a BP on the left that sells 98, at a guess I'd say its not more than a 3 minute drive.

There is 98 everywhere down there, no need to worry!

There are the two BP's and the Mobil in town and then there is a couple out of town. Easy as to get the 'good' stuff! :D

Only if drifting is allowed. And only if it rains, can't really do it in the dry with the remaining 40hp the CA18DE has left. But still keen if dry, want to try the braking technique that you can't do on the road.
