Dellorto DHLA questoins

Postby solberg Fan » Sat Apr 21, 2007 7:40 pm

Ive got a 4k with a set of 40mm dhla carbs. My questions are;

what float level height should I set them too,

What fuel pressure should I be running and

should I get a fuel pressure regulator with two outlets (one for each carb) or one outlet and run the carbs in serries. There set up with the fuel line running in series at the moment with a fascet fuel pump with 5psi.

Thanks or the help!

Not sure on float level, but I havea feeling they're meant to be at 4psi. I just have the one reg then a line to the carbs.

Couldn't tell you a float level either off the top of my head, but as below run a regulator with a single outlet & then run them in series. Fuel pressure for a Dellorto I'd say stick to 3-3.5psi, they don't like as much pressure as weber's. I'd also recommend running a Carter or similar pump, a continous flow type rather than an interrupter style pump(Facet Style) as it don't pulse the fuel as much & makes the needle & seats last longer & heaps to stop the fuel foaming in the bowls.
