Postby DRTY.2 » Wed Apr 25, 2007 4:57 pm

Ok as my house doesn't have a garage... I'm looking for a place to rent where I can do some engine work on my mr2... I'm not sure if storage places would allow something like that?? or what storage places would?? any help would be appreciated!!

When I was looking for the same thing in Christchurch none of the storage places wanted anyone working on a car, was solely turn up to pick things up/drop them off.

I advertised for one in the Buy Sell Exchange and the same week someone advertised so I got that.

I was paying $150 per month for my alarmed single garage storage unit where I couldnt work on it. I got the double garage for $35 pw.

Minus the fact that you might actually need to shower and cook something other than noodles one day

maybe put an ad in the buy sell looking for a place to rent, took me a while to find the lock up-s i'm in at moment but worth it, 24/7 access power etc all included in the rent. I paid $55 for a huge lock up 10 x 7 metres i think but had to downsize down to a 6x 5metre costing $35 a week. Not very often they are available where i am though, porthaven on port hills road but there's always a noticeboard outside with available places for rent
