Quick CV question...

Postby skoty » Wed Apr 25, 2007 4:46 pm

Due to my left CV boot splitting and the CV itself being contaminated with crap I'm about to replace it to stop the annoying clicking. The right one is fine but does it pay to replace the pair or doesn't it really matter? CV's aren't my favourite mechanical job in the books so if I can just get away with the one that would be great

depends.. if the right one looks like its going to give up soon then i would just replace both, might as well as you are going to the trouble for one!

Just do one, no point doing both unless the other one is stuffed

Yeah the right CV's boot hasn't split or anything and seems fine. Don't plan to keep the car for long anyway. Getting the CV off the axle isn't too fun, don't know if I want to do it twice
