steering alignment??

Postby Caribeena » Thu May 10, 2007 10:26 pm

not sure if this is the right place to post, but couldnt avoid hitting a pot hole the other day, and now my steering wheel is not straight, doesn't vear off to the left or right or anything, just annoying not having it straight. i thought of pulling the steering wheel off and straightening it that way, but its got an airbag in it so thats out....
whats the best way to remedy this? wheel alignment?
car is a 20v carib wagon by the way....

Me and my mate did the same thing to his ex rally fx, the steering wheel was on like a 45deg angle, dunno how the tyre shop did it but a wheel alignment fixed it good, plus you dont know what else you threw out of whack and that could cost you a set of tyres :(

I can straighten the steering wheel, can do it without removing the steering wheel (takes 5 mins). Thats if you don't want to redo the alignment however I recommend you recheck it and will be able to straighten it in the process.

cheers,

skoty.
