gen 3 injectors into gen 2

Postby Redd » Sat May 19, 2007 9:51 pm

I'v been offered some gen 3 (540cc?) injectors and I want to know if they are a straight fit into a gen 2 SW20 fuelrail. Also what cc are gen 2 injectors?

I gather you have an aftermarket computer and modifications to support the requirement for additional fuel? Otherwise oversize injectors will do nothing but substancially reduce power.
The answer is Helmholtz!

for the technical aspect : Yes they will fit

yes you will need an aftermarket ECU to get the best out of them

Yes the G2 fuel rail will handle the flow BUT its better to have it bored out - or duel fed to sustain the required fuel for high power

420's have about a limit of 230 KW at the fly on a gen2 3sgte
