I think having an additional strut to strut brace would be good, as well as the stock brace.
You find some of the heavy duty ones are a triangle, doing strut to strut and strut to firewall.
In my experience, albeit in an MR2 and not an AE101, a strut brace made a big difference. A lot less flex in the strut towers, helping keep them in line with each other, so they stay an even camber through a corner.
Although the AE101's (I'm not sure if they all do) have super slut.... err strut, which helps reduce camber through turning, so when you add a strut brace, you get less strut flex, meaning an even flatter camber.
Don't get me wrong, the standard one would still feel better than without it, but a direct one would do the job better.
Have a look on Trademe and see what you can find. I managed to get a Cusco one for like $100 bucks, so you can get a real bargin.
Hmm... I wonder what ever happened to that Dave?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
