4age head on 4afe block?

Postby rwd_mayhem » Tue May 22, 2007 9:55 am

now i have searched but it didnt give me a definitive answer.

i have a worked 4age bigport bluetop head, theres a mint 4afe block on trademe, should i get it and put them together? i read about the pistons being different? how different, will it effect performance? and the flywheel only has 6bolts so id have to use a 4afe one, or maybe a 3au one? anyone put a 4age head on a 4afe block before?

just buy a 4age block for like $100 bucks man. it would be like doin a 7age and keeping the 7afe pistons = pointless. everything is weaker and smaller. the 4age was the sporty engine the 4afe was the nana economy engine and they are designed accordingly
