ae82 fxgt suspension knock

there is a loud knock coming from my front struts (the right more than the left) and i have no ideo y. even th mechanic i took it to said that by looking at it he couldnt be too sure wot it was. i just put new strut inserts in today and its stll there, any ideas?

you sure its the strut & not something else like maybe an engine mount ?

under what conditions do you get the knocking?

yea im pretty sure a, i took it to a mechanic today and they told me that it was the springs. The spring rate of the springs has either deteriorated because they are old or the springs and not right for the suspension set up because the coils are bashing togther. so yea looks like new springs is my solution
