mods for 1ggte 202rwkw at present

Postby lyfs_grande » Thu May 24, 2007 10:17 am

I recently purchased a 1ggte gx61.current mods: t3/4 turbo,fmic,filter.3' straight through exhaust.38mm wastegate running a bar spring, standard AUTO computer. At the moment its putting out 202rwkw which i think gives the engine a lot of potential :) .I'm wondering the best way 2 spend my money for maximum output, i was thinking a computer would be the best place to start?any help would be very much appreciated

cheers Brendan

202kw seems like good power from the stock ecu.
i'd say you are on the money with ecu upgrade and some more boost so long as the fuel system is up to it.
should make 230-240kw at 18psi depending on turbo specs i'd imagine, if it is still auto the trans may not last too long at that sort of output...

79 bugeye 245kw atw.
Evo powered mx5 under construction

yea wtf, why would it be overfuelling? its a smaller fuel pump than a 1ggte pump (surely?)

wouldnt have anything to do with the afm being blow thru would it? :?:

According to Mike, the previous owner, The fuel pumps are rather hefty external units. Very much to the task of fueling the turbo!

hey dude, howsit going! need my keys back at some stage haha

The surge tank is set up to run a Commodore VL pump, although the one i put in died!

Id honestly say go for a link comp, bigger injectors 7mgte ones 440cc and run 18-20 pounds, should be good for 250rwkw..

Go hard
