Rebuilding an LSD

Just wanting to know if anyone has got one rebuilt or priced it up to be done. Its a viscous one e series. Whats involved in rebuilding it can you just put a shim in it like some lsd's??

toyotas viscous LSDs are sealed units.
no shims or anything

SO they cant be rebuilt? WHen they die they are dead no chance of bringing them back to life?

iv never come across anyone who can rebuild a toyota viscous LSD.

why would it die? unless sumthen is badly broken in there or the fluid has leaked out

Here is the question:
are you sure that they are viscous and not Torsen?
Reason why I am asking is that BZR comes with Torsen, so the altezza, supra, and GT4 (at the back)...

ITs viscous lsd (ive been told) out of a e51 box selling reasonably cheap but the kms are about 220000 (been told). You have probably seen it, it was the one on trademe. Im just worried with those kind of kms its going to pack a sad some time soon. So what should i do buy it or what? Any ideas?
If i was to purchase it what would you think would be a fair price considering the kms?

do you know how a viscous LSD works?

read up on them, and youll see theres not really a lot to go wrong in them.

Ive had a look on how some work and have a few pictures of a few but ill have another look at it.........but in your opinion what should i be paying for a second hand one?
