Silvertop turbo with stock internals

Hi guys.
I am trying to find a few writeups of people who have whacked a turbo on a stock 20V Silvertop. What they did and how they went.
Have tried a few searches but none of the combos I used came up with anything. I managed to find TRD16rolla AE82 with Silvertop and turbo.
I also found Karls 16V that he turboed with stock internals. But that's all.

What they did:

do everything exactly the same as any other 4agte, but leave the internals stock.

Theres plenty of info on here, what exactly do you want to know?

Ecu wise?

You need to ethier get a standalone (link?), or fool the ecu into running with a piggyback ecu on boost (stupid idea in my opinion), but having said that, I have a powerlink that would be suitable for use here.


Power wise, 120-130kws at the wheels on low (5-8ish psi) easy.

Trueno_20v has done it. Nice car and dyno'd before turbo was 70kw atws, then on 5psi is 135kw atw's.

Good results.

I did some reading, but there is very little on High Comp 20V. Truno_20V's is the main one and is a really good start.

PM me if you want some info, I can help a little with boosting a 20V.

Or just check out my sig, most of the info is there, but replace the superchager with turbo of choice.

Yeah Trueno_20v is the standard to follow if you want a good setup that's going to last.

Start saving some coin though, cause I'd say you wont get change from $4-5 grand or so.

And if your going to do it, I really don't get why you wouldnt spend $800, rip off the head and replace the pistons, plane head, new gaskets, new bearings if needed and u have a brand new turbo happy motor.
