Heater Core Question!

Postby Knickers » Thu Jun 07, 2007 12:03 am

Need a little insight!

Im currently in search of a ae82 FXGT heater core for the fx (looking for one around the Manawatu area, if you know of one :D), as i had discovered after purchasing the damn thing, it has no heater. Im aware (from the ex and the mechanic dad) that all the little 'bities' are still there.

Ok what im wanting to know is that if i cannot locate another ae82 core, can i use another core from another simular corolla? Like the liftback one or does it HAVE to be a ae82?

Thanks

Have you checked the core isnt there?

I can't remember if you did or not.

Put a hose on one heater pipe in the engine bay, (turn heater to hot inside car) and see if water comes out the other one. If it does, check your passengers footwell isnt fulling up with water. If not, then you just need to connect the pipes up.

no...

it doesnt mean they are connected, or that it doesnt leak.

It means you have water pipes sticking out.
