Compatibility of AE82 with AE85/86

Post by Acropolis »

OK, this might seem like a dumb question, but how much do the FWD ae82 FXGTs have in common with the rear wheel drive ae85 and ae86 Levins and Truenos?
For example, forward of the windscreen are the panels interchangeable, making it possible to put a Trueno front on an FXGT (if for some unknown reason you wanted to do that...)?
And... how much of the interior is interchangeable, if any? Is the dash or instrumentation common to all chassis codes?
Having never actually driven one of the RWD models I have no basis of comparison to the FXGTs I bought this week :?

Ok, thanks for that Mr Revhead. I suspected that that was probably the case.
