****best aftermarket ecu for 4agze****

Postby corolla gt » Wed Jun 13, 2007 6:22 pm

hi guys i have put alot of thought into it and now have decided to go for the aftermarket ecu for my 4agze tht im putting my starlet.....i have got the 4agze loom cut down and shortend for rwd but it will b a bit small and my starlet is already 4age wired up.

i thought bout it and now i think i will keep all the 4age bluetop loom in my car and get a better computer for the turbo

it will probley save me money as i will have to get loom quiet a bit longer and then my alternator will be on exhaust side and all my bluetop wiring will b a big waste...

so could u guys give me sum good examples of pretty good ecus for 4agze ....i dnt really have the money for link  but yea was thinking around the lines of piggy back ecu

Um, what are you going to put the piggyback computer onto? the std bluetop ecu?

Far far far far far far better off getting the 4agze loom in there.

Or if you go aftermarket, then link is about the cheapest. Find a second hand older verison LEM. $500ish

are the turbo links hard to install though have been told by speedtech that they are and they dnt touch them

i dnt really want to destroy all my bluetop wiring though as my car is all wired up and has worked allgud plus my alarm is connected up sumhow to my computer to so i will have 2 get tit all changed and then get the wiring all madeto fit my car.

....i think it will b a bit of a mission

i looked on trade me and there is a trust E ecu piggy back for 450 i am keen on thatthe guy said it will b good for a ae86 and my bluetop motor is a ae86 originally

seriously, if your not going to listen to us, why ask?

Piggy backs are great for small changes, ie, adding a bigger turbo to an already turbo.

In my opinion, going from non turbo to turbo needs more than a piggyback.

And if your only reason is that you don't want to mess up your loom, then your reasons are really backwards.... Plus the fact that emanage is going to have to be split into your loom anyway.
