98 GTT suspension ques

Postby Hbomb » Mon Jun 18, 2007 10:13 pm

I'm keen to lower my GTT but am wondering if Tein springs are good? My mate has a set that he could sell me for around $400, about 40-45mm drop.

Any recommendation on what springs to use? Will it make my tyres rub on the guard with passengers etc?

Or is it worth getting some adjustables (can't really afford tho!)

Thanks

teins wont drop u that much unless they are crap

try 25mm - 30mm. I find them very good. Care would do better with a decent rear sway bar but they not designed for cornering anyways. So yea, they are quite decent springs, either those or TRD's. Ive heard good results from them too.
I had vtax :(

from what ive seen on lowered gtt's including my own it wont be very low unless you go for coilovers or have 18's but im sure it will make it handle better.

I put Tein S-Tech springs in mine. claimed to be 43mm drop, more like 35mm. Its not crazy low but it got ride of the gap between the tyre and arch and i havent had any probs yet.

yeah considering they arent drsigned for caldinas
i pulled out the kings i had (actually corolla springs) and put in teins
raised it up a bit (as expected considering caldinas weigh a weeny bit more than corollas)
once id done that it stopped scraping on everything also :P
