Runx Headunit replacement

Postby ryrager » Fri Jun 22, 2007 10:22 pm

Hi All

I have recently replaced the factory headunit in a Corolla RunX 2001 (Parents Vehicle) with a pioneer DEH-3950 headunit.

This all went really smoothly, except on re-assembly it was found that the new headunit is not as wide as the factory headunit face and as such, have two 10mm wide gaps either side of the headunit and trim pocket.

Can anyone post pics of what they did to hide these gaps or explain how to hide them.

thanks in advance

Is there a plastic edge with your new hu? Does that help fill the gap?

Hi

Not it doesn't, it fits fine vertically just not horizontally....

The sides have about 10mm on each side.

Thanks
