no it doesn't bleed to atmosphere. It bleeds into the intake system before the turbo, IIRC. Check the fat pipe that runs under the throttle body for the idle air. There should be a fitting on there somewhere, which is where the other end of the VSV should connect.
Well i have the car idling, its a bit of a rough idle and it still stalls sometimes. Could this just be cos the knock sensor/tvis is still not connected, and the fuel is 6 months old?? I just remembered the petrol was put it the last time i drove it, which was january.
They arent as easy as you think! The lean on the motor makes it very hard to reach behind the motor! . Unfortunately the knock sensor is VERY hard to get in the motor (note to self: screw it in BEFORE the motor goes in!) Then i lost the knock sensor down the back of the motor
Im gunna try connect everything tomorrow and hope for the best! Doesnt look like it'll be legal anytime soon tho, due to one very leaky PS pump
aye i tend to think if things in terms of having the car on a hoist - hats off to people who do engine swaps etc without one, i guess im just a prima donna about that
