WORST FRECKIN DRIVING CONDITIONS EVER 8O

Andybay (off the main road) at 5:50am was just a ice rink.
I just got pulled over for sliding on a bad corner not long ago, tho he just checked my details and let me go.
Now going to my friends house in morginton it was pure hell, random ice patches everywhere, even at 3kph I was sliding it down the little side streets that looked fine, slid it into a gutter (slow tho) to avoid hittign something, then i couldn't even get up the street that my friends house is located, nothing but tirespin. So I had to go around the other way to get there.

Now im prob stuck here for the night, so watch out on the roads tonight/tomorrow :? :o

oddly enough, this morning it was icey as all hell, I would have thought we had enough rain to melt the ice away, but mr sideways RunX convinced me that it was indeed icy.

One of my workmates managed to put his Hilux over a bank on the way in, apparently his nice shiny new 4wd wasn't as invincible as he thought.

waihola straits this morning there were 5 cars wrecked at about 9am.

1 four wheel drive had rolled off the side and landed on its wheels.

1 car had flipped and was sitting on its roof

1 transit van had just nosed itself into a ditch

and a four wheel drive and ute collided on the bridge on the dunedin side.

And 1 Kia pregio got a bit sideways when passing a grit truck  in my deffence he wasn't spreading at the time (perhaps he should have been) and was still accelerating from pulling onto the road. I give thanks to the car control granted to me from being a hoon to saving us.

(skid control SHOULD be a compulsary part of license training)

The new ones or the older ones?

My other half wants one of the new sports ones, but im scared to let her have one cause it might be faster than the mighty 20v & i might like it too much since they're basically a go-kart with creature comforts!
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983

my boss just got one as a compromise between what his mrs wanted, rav4, practical etc, and his choice, something turbo and fast... after driving that, and then mine, he was very impressed with his purchase, so I fear that your 20v would be disguarded much like the little 2zz was.

But they have no spare tyre, only a tube of pressurised goo.

the old ones. we had great fun in the snow. would go anywhere as long as you didn't go too slow. as soon as you stop on a hill its very hard to turn around again without hitting parked cars(i didn't luckily)
