dyno tuning carb motors

Do people do this, or is it more efi cars with after market computer.reason i ask is im putting a turbo motor into my charade rally car and was wondering if i could get it dyno tuned

don't see why not, they can still check the AFR for you and adjust the carbs to get a better ratio

yes people do it, just get someone who knows carbs well to go with you to the dyno, unless that person owns a dyno

yea i guess they could probably adjust timing and stuff like that too.does anyone know who im hamilton would be able to do this

Of course they do, dynos have been around for quite a few years you know :lol:

All the stuff that EFI does use to be done mechanically with jets, nozzles, needles, air bleeds, trumpet length etc. Take a look at an exploded diagram of a sidedraught weber/dellorto some time.
All that stuff requires tuning right thru the rev range and the only way to get it done properly is a dyno

In Hamiltron you could try John @ Tuning & Performance, he may be able to help you. Most of the people I know from down that way come up to Auckland to places like HiTech Motorsport in Drury to get them tuned as they do heaps of carb stuff & deal with most carb makes/models
