Anyone keen for an august trackday @ taupo?

Postby RomanV » Wed Jul 18, 2007 2:28 am

Okay a bunch of us on another forum are trying to scratch together enough people to make a track day at taupo happen, on thursday the 9th of august.

It would be great if anyone was keen, anyone, and any car is welcome. details are here.

If anyone is keen, sign up and PM 'DJHG', or send me a PM and I'll sort you something out. 8)

Cheers!
Dave.

A few people have PMd me, looks like 3 or 4 toyspeeders will hopefully be able to make it. Awesome!

All that's required is a helmet, overalls, and a car with a WOF. And then you get to spend a day caning around the full taupo circuit!

Passengers?
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

No passengers allowed unfortunately!

Unless you've got a rollcage, harnesses, etc.

We were allowed them the first time we did it, but that was before the track changed ownership or whatever.....

Wish I could come, but the AW is now officially off the road for at least 3 months. :?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Just street cars, everything from 1300cc KP starlets to 500hp GTR skylines, and everything in between! Most cars are fairly modest, haha.

There's an AE111 that always comes along that is REALLY quick. Outruns a lot of the more powerful cars with ease.
You should give it a go, it's awesome fun!

There's a struggle to get 28 people for Track 1/4, so Track 2 might be in order. The decision will be made this Thursday and booked.
