I used a piece of wood and made one end like a chisel, make sure you use a hard wood, you will have to reshape the end from time to time. Then use petrol to clean it up.

Use a heat gun and Rick's wooden chisel. You can clean up with petrol or you can use wax and grease remover.

I'd go other way.

Dry ice all over the floor, then chisel it.

round the corners offf a wood chisel and chisel away. best done when the car is cool, as warm temperatures softens the deadening.

Dry ice works well.. chisel off as others say.
You get a very large mess with petrol. Only used petrol for ultra stubborn spots that won't come up

This is the method I used with the Celica... and it sucked. Its much easier to just knock it off with a chisel. The heat tends to make the material bond to the floor. You'll also find petrol will damage all the plastic gromets.
