Wednesday Meets *** Next Meet Wednesday 9pm ***

Postby Adydas » Fri Feb 03, 2006 4:21 pm

Rather than Spam up the section we can all discuss weekly meets in one spot and every week - month I will filter out old conversation.

Next time will be stated as the topic header but location will always be as follows for the standard " Ports Meet ".

9pm at " The Ports " in Auckland’s CBD.

Map Reference is Plumber Street at the part where it merges back onto Quay Street.

I will update this map but its currently labeled " Old Ports " and you are to ignore listing for " the Hills " as a new location.

This is a Trail idea to have a half way meeting point to spamming up the forum but continuing to have weekly interaction from members to see if people are busy or are interested to arrange a cruise.

If its raining go to Macdonalds Quay street car park.

I've never had a issue free wof, not even once. my minimum spending to get a wof so far has been $300. After i get this one (spent $720 on rust  and 1.5 weeks with no car) i'll be keen to get along to one of these.

dont go to those theiving orange places.... they fail you on really silly things and dont spot the important stuff (they missed a loose bolt on my right rear suspension assembly and i nearly ended up in a ditch on the way to hamilton the next day

Lol, i took it down to the local jobbee. He was gonna pass it until i pointed out the rust on the front firewall (several very large holes). I guess i shouldn't complain really...

This is my first wof EVER.. failed on both right hand side struts, both rear wheel bearings, bulb, abs light, horn, front right hub had play..

so replaced all struts, tightned the front hub, replaced and skimmed rear rotors, replaced rear wheel bearings, wired up new commodore horns  and fixed me up an abs light. oh and replaced the bulb too :)

all by myself (and thanks simon - who actually did everything on the rear hubs)

if anyone needs work done for cheaps, pm me :) Si worked at westcity holden and toyotas are a "piece of piss next to a commy" aparantly..

now here comes the battery relocation, cold air box, bigger pulley, larger intercooler, replacement extractors, bodykit, paint, audio install, rear seat retrim, cv boot replacement, sc12, alternator and starter motor recondition, tail light conversion, headlight replacement, bonnet vent replacement, window re-tint, 3rd and 4th gear syncros, transmission flush, radiator flush, oil change, brake bleed (only crimped the lines when replacing rear hubs), powersteering flush, alarm upgrade and gauge install...

Phew. ive only had the car a friggen month!!
