I have never experienced any sort of restriction at 180kph, she just wizzes right past it....
Although at 220kph I do experience a unfortunate cut-out of some sort. Be it a boost/fuel or speed cut I am unsure.

yeah like a "voom" noise and the speed drops. then it revs up again. then "voom" ..complete loss of power again

You will be traveling around 180km. Your speedo is just really wrong.

My speedo shows 210 when i hit speed cut, but if you look at the revs, and work it out, you can see your speed is about 190.

Factory speedos pretty much all read way high at that speed.

Also what you guys need to remember if someone can't "take out" a toyota factory speed cut.

If you cut the speed sense wire your going to get a engine check light up. The only way is to modify the signal, and you will be able to see the box or componants that are doing that modification.

So if you have a factory ecu, and there is no rangi looking box on it, then you WILL have a speed cut at around 180km/h. No matter what your dreaming speedo says.

i've done mine with a gps and it was abotu 200 (waiting for it to catch up)

now i dont really care as i rarely see that speed, and when i get that high the needle gets pinned to the bottom rather quickly

ive removed speed cut already. it clocks 180 in 4th. then through to 5th and the "voom" noise comes in at 5000revs in 5th gear.

Is that noise not normal?

I've measured mine with my RSM, and its cut between 180-190 everytime, I have the feeling that there is a thread somewhere discussing the speed cut, and most people agreed it was around 180-190, but could be higher/lower in diff cars depending on wheel size (my rsm is adjusted from factory size to my 16s, so RSM is nearly dead on)
