4agze belt tensioner

The other day i notice that there was a weird sound coming from my engine, which sounded bearing like.

So I whipped off my wheel and had a listen, and found the tensioner that tensions the supercharger and waterpump was noisy.

I scoured all the stores in Masterton (and even resorted to repco ), but no one can get them accept the local Toyota dealer and then it costs $263 + gst! (before you ask if flicked Revhead an email, waiting on reply).

I thought I could just put a new bearing in it, but I don't know how it could press apart from looking at it, my ae82 just had a circlip and then the bearing pressed in it, but this looks like a sealed unit.

Does anybody know if I can take in apart, or where I can get one?
Are they the same as 20v ones?
Or if they came on any other engines?

I checked my bluetop 4age and they are different.

i thought they were only like 40 dollars brand new!!!!

No not oversize, just factory.

Where did you get $40 figure from?

I'd be willing to buy one off you if you can get a new one that price.

I've had both of mine replaced recently...

Giltrap quoted me $355 for each idler pulley (just the pulleys) - but I paid less than that for both from Revhead including courier.

I was replying to an email about that TRD wallet, and some other stuff (springs, said tensioner, cambelt, wheel bearing).

I've sent another email, so if you could check that would be cool.
I wasn't getting impatient or anything just reminding as they were relevant to the thread .

I'm not in a rush to get it as it's not that bad yet (I've seen a lot worse), but yeah would like to get it sorted sooner than later.

Also no pulley kit, factory in that aspect.
