4age into carolla

hey everyone just a couple of questions
i have a 89 fx-zi with the 4afe i think i have just aquried(sp) a blacktop 4age with 5 spd g/b will the engine and gear box bolt into the old mounts or will in need to be modified ? and if it needs to be modified how much and is it worth it ?

thanks for your time hopefully someone knows

oh and if it cant be done anyone want to buy a blacktop 4age with box?

research would tell you that yes it can be done

worst case scenario means you buy new ae111 mounts but the car it self wont need altering

i did search found nothing i have a whole donor car so it should be a straight swap then if i use the 4age ecu will it plug into the fxzi loom ie no wiring involved plug and play ?

is it really important to do so i will be running fxgt cluster i dont want to mess around with wires its only my daily so not looking at spending big bucks

you need to run the loom to run the engine.....

you cannot just bolt it in and drive away.
you need to wire in the ecu and blacktop loom.

so the fxzi loom will not plug into 4age ecu ? i can do the conversion myself just no good with wires

you will find that you will definatly need the whole 20V engine loom for the engine bay,
and that the 20V engine loom will not be able to plug in to connect
with the current car dsh loom so an amount of wiring will required no matter what.

u shoulod have a blacktop engine loom and copmputer
the faster u go, the quicker u get there

youll need the engine loom, all the plugs are different

No matter what or how many loom you have, there is no plug in option.

Wiring will be required.

The "rest of the car loom" from the 20V setup wont plug into your dash, heater lights wipers windows or basically anything electric.

and the engine loom is also part of the whole vehicle as in the power supply for the whole car runs through the engine loom which you will need to change.
