Yep, there definitely is... it's called the Possum Bourne Memorial Rally, runs on Saturday and will see racing over some of the best rally roads in the country. Oh, and apparently there are a few other cars driven by people with funny names like Gronholm and Loeb that will go over the course first to sweep the roads for them

Seriously, I'm servicing on the PBMR for my boss in his AW11 - sounds like I'll be out Raglan-way at the remote refuel point to provide supplies. Might get a little spectating done if I have time between service breaks and will probably try to get to Mystery Creek for the super special.
We know that four-wheel drive doesn't work in a racing car, and I proved to myself that it doesn't work very well for rallycross. I'm absolutely convinced that it has no future in rallying, either, even if the regulations allowed it. - Roger Clark (rallying legend), circa 1976

What colour/number is the adub? I'm taking a few picture photos at this rally so I'll try and catch the adub. Gonna be a good one I think.

The boss (in the MR2) is car #148. There are also a number of mates from the club running in Starlets and Corollas, including Solberg Fan (car #153) and RomanV's former neighbour (car #155).

Seeding list for the PBMR is at http://www.pbmrally.co.nz/

Rally NZ itself runs between Port Waikato and the Pirongia area over 3 days. Saturday is the day closest to Auckland with SS7/8 in the Glen Murray area and SS10/11 on some awesome roads at Te Akau. Approx 90 minute drive from the Auckland CBD. Spectator maps etc are on the Rally NZ site, http://www.rallynz.org.nz (look under the Spectators section)

I completely missed the PBMR.

Had something a little more important to do though, spent the weekend looking after these beauties :)

These are two of the best swingers to have WRC weekend - makes you one of a very limited group of people allowed to stand in the middle of a group of car worth MILLIONS!

Some bloody great racing. Loeb and Gronholm neck and neck the whole weekend it seemed. Chevy Pon's Subaru had a horrible mishap right underneath one of the camera choppers, some great footage there. Got a ton of photos, I'll post some up once the commercial side of things is sorted.
