yes i agree, it looks a very nice car but what is there worth stealing on it and stripping - apart from the bodykit? everything else is easily available, its not like these cars/engines are uncommon.

i would guess its more likely taken for a joy-ride than taken to be stripped, other than for maybe the wheels.

my thoughts anyway...hope you get it back in one piece.

gutted mate...my mates dads car was stolen from welly a little while ago, anyway he went to report it to the police as soon as he realised it was stolen and they told him it'll already be on its way to south auckland, i wouldnt be suprised if your car is in the same boat.

sucks to hear mate, my FC3S got broken into about 3 times when i was parking it in a carport just off the street up in prospect terrace (about 100m up the road from rotoitoi).

shitty place to live if you have nice cars, pity its a real handy location for jville 'main drag' and train station etc.

thanks for keeping a look out for it everyone.

yip have been looking all through trademe to see if anything from my car has been listed, no luck so far but like you say someting is bound to come up sooner or later.

no more word from the cops so now all i can really do is wait for the insurance to come through. have to wait 21 days to give time for it to be recovered before anything can be payed out i have been told.

cheers for your help

it was a autowatch alarm, had fuel and engine immobilisers but i guess if they really know their stuff then there are ways around it. or failing that they could have just towed it away.

only good thing about that alarm is that it was put in by sss in palmy north and they have unconditional waranty which means that if my car is stolen i get $1500 towards my excess, alarm refunded, and rental car for 30days. im the process of claiming on that now, heres hoping its nice and straight foward.

yeah you sure do, you just never realise how shit it is untill it happens to you. not the kind of exclusive club i really want to be in but i guess thats just life for ya!

Damn.. its disturbing to hear of a car with a good alarm being taken seemingly so easily 8O Let us know how you get on with that claim. I have the same sorta thing on my alarm.
