Depends on the situation, i wouldn't go to a work interview with my shirt untucked.. or to a formal event.. but otherwise my shirts almost always untucked.

Our team (sysadmins in a corporate IT shop) have been instrumental in changing the culture in said workplace, the no-tie thing seems to have spread throughout IT, we are now the only department in the organization where non-tie wearing doesn't seem to get frowned upon. Result

Think this topic may have originated by a post i made in Off-topic, but unfortunately i have to have the shirt tucked in for work (Supermarket) but i overhang it so it conceals the belt (for no particular reason).

But i much prefer having the shirt untucked all the time, feels so much more comfortable. I do sometimes tuck in my tee shirt if i have a shirt and sweater etc on though.

I see an OSH hazard, bring it up at the next safty meeting, if you have to look under the bonnet while an engine is running you could end up with the imprint of an oil cap in your face

no, what they will do then is make us remove our ties every time we are within 1 metre of an open bonnet.
and replace tie every time we are more than one metre from an open bonnet.

Yeah, upper management at said dealership is a bit out of touch with reality in that respect. Business shirts and ties when dealing with car parts?!?!
