Window tint removal??

Postby AE-0000 » Sun Sep 02, 2007 7:42 pm

Any one know a good way to remove window tint film, i remove most of it already at the rear window but there are still sticky bits left at the bottom of the screen. Can't seem to scape it off as the rear window is way to narrow (AE111) and i don't want scape the heater coils.... anyone know any liquid solution that will do this??

Or try Dissolve-it. Get it at the supermarket. Works well.

Use a heat gun/hairdryer to soften and remove the film, then clean the sticky residue off with methylated spirits, comes up clean without leaving streaks.Would not recomend using turps as it will leave a greasy surface.

i used heat gun, hairdryer work just same. and then cleaned the window with a citris cleaner, smelt nice too lol,

if using meths or whatever, just leave the windows down for a bit let the car air out unless you wanna get high :)
