16v 4age sumps - rwd vs fwd

Postby l1ttle_d3vil » Sat Sep 01, 2007 10:07 pm

I've seen a few sumps advertised as "genuine rwd 4age sump, a must for a rwd 4age conversion" etc etc. are they actually any different to fwd sumps?

i'm looking at fitting oil return lines to a spare bluetop sump i've got, with the intention of eventually putting it on my aw11 4agze block - problem is I can't pull the 4agze sump off yet so can't compare.

am I going to run into any problems when fitting the bluetop sump (whether its fwd or rwd) onto the aw11 block??

cheers.

no you wont have any problems , the only difference between them is on the sloping pan part going into the bowl is the ridges face different ways,

I think the sump nut is on different sides too.... But that doesn't actually impact on anything that I'm aware of.
