Could anybody give me a general idea of how much weight would be added to my ae101 trueno by dynamating the floor from the pedals/firewall to backseat?
Im really only looking for a guesstimate, eg less than 10kg worth of dynamat, <20kg etc etc
Dynamat Weights

Nah, just to cut down on road noise. When i had my doors dynamatted I noticed that the car was a little quiet inside.
Was looking at doing from the upper footwells at the front of the cabin back to the start of the back seat and maybe some of the boot with the offcuts from the rest of the car, how effective would it be at reducing the noise?

why PM me?
and don't listen to pjay and his sand rant = bad idea! (i keep telling you PJ
)
anyhoo..
mass loader, dampening, barrier, absorption - whats your flavour?
if you trying to cut down on road noise, then we should be looking at barrier/dampening and absorption.
Dynamat is barrier and dampening. Will decrease noise by creating a barrier that noise has to get through and transfer noise energy to heat (apparently)
Foreman insulation have a couple of different materials for noise reduction, but overall, DX would be easy for you to obtain and buy over other different materials that require a bit more installation thought over peel and stick.
if you are on budget and want to save weight.. at least cover areas near the wheels - front foot wells and rear arches to minimise noise from tyre contact with road

Fill footwells with concrete???
I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!
