well, let say car will go for 6g (that is when it was stock and riceless), and motor gearbox combo for 3g, then you will have 9g to buy your self nice ITR, why bother with all the rubbish in first place?

There are quite a few track duty Hondas around the place too though :D

Its definitely interesting, dunno if its something I'd have done but definitely amusing. I prefer the 2JZGTE S2000, myself.

yeah maybe the guy loved his levin but wanted some actual speed out of it...

i too would rather just buy the ITR, perhaps a 2zz-fe transplant would have been more appropriate? :P

I was gonna say, is it actually a genuine B18CR though? I guess the Hondaphiles would be able to tell if it is.
Odd conversion but hey, quite cool nonetheless. It looks quite cool, and at least would have the go to match.

if I was him, I would transplant late 3SGE (beams). Lots of torque (compare to 20v) and ~200Hp.
Although I would contemplate to sell the levin and get beams celica in first place. Although I am very biased as I am driving a ST205...

I have driven 2ZZGE and it is way too peaky and sounds very fragile.

Yeah ^^ what he said. I've harrassed at least one AE111 to get a Beams 3SGE for his AE111, but no - he bought a Supra.... slacker haha

Amen to that. AE111 > ITR in terms of looks. Honestly I do wonder about some of you guys sometimes. I bet it goes pretty quick. So who really gives a shit about anything else?

Best thing you could to an AE111 is either:
a) Leave it stock
b) 3SGE beams transplant
c) 3SGTE and 4WD transplant
d) Midmount 2JZGTE

cogent wrote:You guys can hate on it all you want, but I cant blame the guy. The b18C has a lot more potential than a 20v (can of worms status: opened), and not to mention the massive after market library of parts available.

And hell, its a bit different. And the car doesn't look too bad. Except the Type-R badge, thats just lollapalooza.

My only gripe is the guy has done the car up in that stupid style a lot of the honda drivers do, worked engine, nice suspension, light wheels, roll cage, nice body mods, stickers all over like 'track duty' suggesting its built for circuit sprints or time attack...and then proceeds to drive it around the street only

What he said

Goat Dude wrote:one thing to remember.....

With a little bit of what he said too

Cool doing something different. And from where I see it, its not a stupid conversion. Sure there are plenty of different engines he could have put in, but whatever you use someone is going to have a cry about it.

a) Stock is boring
b) Beams are boring
c) That would cost a small fortune
d) That would cost a large fortune

Its different, it would go well, it doesn't look bad. What is the problem?

Beams motors? Torque? i dont think so :P

Too hard to tell if its a genuine b18cr from pic, but is looking along the right lines.

Type R integra > Beams celica, if you doubt it, drive both side by side and ull understand
