Pick a part

Postby AE86less » Thu Sep 13, 2007 1:37 pm

I spent yesterday driving round auckland's sh*tholes looking for corolla parts and found the following of note:

Rosebank Rd:

Complete Redtop 4age and complete silvertop

Takanini had a KP61 (or 60?) with some very straight body panels
and a redtops in various states

Mangere had more redtops and a cressida with a 1g and a note on the dashboard from the previous owner "for collection, still drives fine)

After all of this i found nothing and my mate, who went just cause he was bored, found everything he wanted for his galant :x

I'm also trying to get hold of warwick, but he hasn't emailed me back after two attempts...

Yeah, i would use that stock list as an indication but not a definitive guide, the people they have in the offices there are not brilliant.

"which car did you get the mirror off?",
"the black galant over there..",
"ok",

Receipt says "Mazda Galant"

I think i saw a couple of both, i didn't look too closely. Plus a few with no intake manifolds.

They would have seen the "20" on the rocker cover (for 20 valves) and presume 2 litre. A car salesman tried to sell my sister her blacktop Corolla wagon as a 2 litre ...

Ooh oh, the other thing i saw, don't know if they were for sale, but there were two massively fat avon semi slicks sitting in a trailor at Mangere.

probably 15"ish x 9 or 10 ish? The most pick a part charge for tires is $35....
These would probably be good for a fair few 1/4s in a light car.
