i seen a blue 1984 one on tradem before for around 8k did u see that? anyone look at it??

i'm from ireland but living in new zealand the last while, ae86's have a huge following in ireland and are worth big big money for uk/irish new examples even jap imports are making big money now, the jap imports in ae86 are only around the last few years since the irish/uk new cars have got scare facelift 86/87 in a rare colour such as burgandy in standard condtion could make up to 12-15k euro 25-30k nz dollars such is the demand now.

Generally beside the jap imports/drift ones the irish/uk ones are left standard bar a janspeed exhaust, koni/bilstein suspension and superlite 13x7"wheels some also have 2up 2 down cibie spotlight, the japs have the usual drift stuff etc but its the uk spec have the big big cult following i've attached a big 2 irish spec cars for ye to have a look at.

http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 019qi3.jpg

There is an irish spec car altho they are on uk/ northern ireland plates the burgandy is the most sought after colour and was only availbale in late 87 regularly make up to 30k nz the blue was only available in 1984 and is also reasonably sought after, the blue car has had the facelift skirts added to it, i'll put some more up in a second

http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 87lvh5.jpg

what colours were nz new availabe in and what spec? does anyone have any pics of a nz new ae86??

ok lads take it easy and if anyone knows about nz new ae86's that would be cool

its the rally crowd made em get the cult following in ireland long before drift this and drift that hence the spotlights on many personally not gone on them, dont think ya can beat the lowered on superlights and janspeed exhaust and real standard clean look of a uk/nz new one.

Anyone know where i'd find a nz new one advertised??

sound of a janspeed on a 4age is unreal

i got a nz new gtv, its striped out at the moment getting rust proofed, it cost me quite a lot of wheeling and dealing, so if you want one really bad then your options are pay the full price or try and swap a few cars around to make every one happy including your self,

There was never a NZ new GTV, that was the jap imports, NZ cars had an optional LSD , 240k speedo, no oxy sensor, number plate lights in the bumper, no power steer, optional aircon, carpet trim to the bottom of the interior door trim with map pockets, i have seen them in silver, light metalic blue, bronze, white, and red ,had 13" toyota mags with 185 /70/tyres and sold for between 30-35k new, and about 10 years ago 3k would buy a good one

Only ever seen two NZ new ones, and both were written off, and both were bronze coloured.
From memory they had a different badging to the jap one's,
as there were no NZ New Trueno version's they wern't called a levin I dont think. Just a Corolla GT? or something.
And about 10 years ago I sold my Jap spec one for 3K, and had bought it for $1800 as it needed front pads.
Now you could probably add 10K to those prices.

haha can we have that radio? Talked to my uncle after seeing your post on G.D about the car mentioned above, you would have to offer silly money to get it. Whats your plans for it? due to the numbers of these it would be rude to do anything but leave it stock and do the odd weekend fang. Unless your collecting get an 85 and thrash it

Plan on keeping it 100% original and putting it in a shed to keep for good, the only mods if any would be superlights wheels and janspeed exhaust like the ones in the picture, can you get back onto your uncle and see what he wants for it and pm me with some details

I know someone with a gold/bronze/poo brown nz new ae86, which he has owned for the last 11 years, it is raced couple of times a month, nudged a few other cars holding it back, and is about to get a cage. Good on him, use it how it was intended!!!

sorry yes it was called GT but its the same spec as the gtv same options one piece drive shaft non digi dash etc etc, it was raced for a few years and when i got it with most of the interior striped out, and the built plate was gone so i assumed it as gtv but now when i think about it did have corolla on the back not the normal levin badging,
chassis number AE86~5022451

there is a girl in invercargel with almost the same car as me part from the wheels, its daily driven and was in the west coast for the last 20 odd years driven by her farther, she hates the car, if anyone is going down the hole keep an eye out for it and im pretty sure she would sell it, silver levin hatch with fog lights mint interior, genuine NZ new
